Your presence divine

who am i to be called “Your beloved?”
to know that You sacrificed Yourself for me?
You suffered for my soul before i was created.

and in knowing this, how can i hold back
and not give it all to You?
for what can i do with a broken life
that only You can complete?

sweep me away, God
i ask for Your purpose
for identity, for peace in my spirit
take me to a place where names don’t matter,
and fear cannot survive
take me to where i can finally see You
and hear You say my name
i want to walk with You

You deserve my full attention
and here is my bruised and rotting heart;
could You renew me?
and every thought that escapes from it,
You can have it, too.
